    Special Report:

In addition to education, student safety is a high priority at Oakville Elementary School. We don’t want any to kids to get hurt or hit, so please drop off your children at the gate by the district office. There is no student drop off or pick up in front of the school from 7:00am-8:00am and 2:00pm-3:00pm. There is a sign on the curb where buses drop of/pick up students reminding everyone not to stop at the curb. Students who walk, ride a bike, or get picked up go down to where 2nd grade is and Ms. Doerge takes them to the gate were the district office is. Student safety is a major concern for us and we do our best to ensure that. Parents and guardians, please help us keep our students safe by remembering when and where to pick up your students. Thank you and have a wonderful day.  -5th Grade Investigative Team

    Kids at Hope

Oakville Schools have adopted and are practicing the Kids at Hope philosophy.  Kids at Hope inspires, empowers and transforms schools, organizations serving youths, and entire communities to create an environment and culture where all children experience success. NO EXCEPTIONS! Each month, our newspaper will discuss what Kids at Hope is and means to the students and staff in the Oakville School District. Ask your student what our pledge means to them!

*EXTRA!  EXTRA!*  THE MIGHTY ACORN NEWS  *EXTRA!  EXTRA!*

This is the first edition of the Oakville Elementary School newspaper and we came up with the name The Mighty Acorn News. Do you want to know how we got the name? We got the name The Mighty Acorn News because we handed out papers to all the children in the elementary and they voted between ten names. The second place name was Oakville news. Third place name was Oakville awesomeness.
