I grew up in Olympia, graduating from Capital High School. I then went to WSU and the University of Idaho to get my bachelor's in music education and music composition! I have been teaching since 2022. I started in the Tumwater School District as a substitute teacher, where I was a 4th-grade homeroom teacher and a 6th-grade science and SEL teacher.

Like many students in our district, I have been playing an instrument since I was in elementary school! My main instrument is percussion, but my favorite has to be the marimba (basically a really big xylophone). If I am not playing an instrument, I am usually watching a football game, reading a book, cooking something new, or going on a hike.
