5th Grade-Ms. Hamilton

I am so excited to be joining Oakville Elementary as a 5th grade teacher! This year marks my 14th year in education, and I’ve had the joy of teaching every grade from Kindergarten through 5th. This will be my fifth year teaching 5th grade, a level I’m especially passionate about.
For the past three years, I stepped away from the classroom to serve as a Director at my church’s childcare center. During that time, I was blessed with opportunities to grow in ministry, leadership, and administration while serving families throughout Thurston County. I worked to expand resources for our community’s diverse needs and supported families in meaningful and lasting ways.
I am a proud mom of three and love spending time with my family. I enjoy traveling, art projects, sewing, home projects, and continuing to grow professionally through conferences and continued education. I hold an Associate’s degree with a focus in Early Childhood, a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Elementary Education and Reading/Literacy, and a Master’s degree in English Language Learners along with an ELL endorsement.
I have a big heart for kids and a deep passion for education. I’m truly excited to get to know the Oakville community and embrace its small-town, country feel—which reminds me so much of my own hometown of Shelton. I can’t wait for a wonderful school year together!
